Living in the Spirit of Renewal

I wanted to share something with you for the new year that is uplifting and encouraging.   I found this past article written last year by Daveta Thomas.  Even though, this article was written last year, it is still relevant today.   I hope it will encourage and bring a new sense of well being and harmony to your life for the new year.  May the grace of God continue to dwell within each of you throughout the coming months.  AG

Renewal And Revitalization

"May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, so that by the power of the Holy Spirit you may abound in hope." (Romans 15:13) Happy New Year from Red Oak United Methodist Church!

Faith And Hope

The year 2020, while just a glance behind us, was truly a year of vision, insight, and wonder. 2020 tested us to the core and called for many to drift into the new year wondering, “What will 2021 bring?” In this time of uncertainty, we have an opportunity to renew our faith and hope for the future, even during these difficult times. Christians facing challenging situations can find relief in Jeremiah 29:11 knowing that it is not a guarantee that our troubles will be immediately solved, but rather a promise that God has a plan for our lives. “For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans for welfare and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope.” (Jeremiah 29:11).

We can enter the new year knowing and believing that the Lord is with us. With Christ, we can prosper and we are filled with hope for 2021 and beyond.
