But, in fact we know that one’s race does not determine human traits, personality traits or intellectual ability. It’s main purpose it seems is to divide and overpower the less dominant race. It separates the haves and the have nots. It categories, it labels but mostly, it dehumanizes groups of people.
All too often race is seen as the manifestation of one’s outward appearance. and that the darker one’s appearance ie. pigmentation, the greater the assumption that the lives of a particular race carries little or no value. The fallacy in that assumption, is that we as Black people have no intrinsic value. The time to speak up has never been clearer. Let’ declare what we already know: Black Lives Matter!
