Change in Announcement Distribution: We will no longer print announcements in the bulletin. However, we will have limited printed copies in the foyer.

September 7th, 9 am - 12:30 pm OR September 8th, 5:30 pm - 9:00 pm - Hospice Volunteer: Have you ever thought about giving back to families in need? Training is being held in McDonough. Please contact Annette Rogers (770) 626-5898 or arogers@sacredjourneyhospice.com.

September 11th - Community Health and Men's Promotion Summit, 10 am - 3 pm: Held at Georgia World Congress Center, 285 Andrew Young International Blvd, Atlanta, GA 30313. Discounted parking at the GWCC or take MARTA. Honorary Co-Chair Atlanta Mayor Kasim Reed.

September 18th - Mission Community Outreach, 12 noon - 4 pm: Red Oak is partnering with Mt. Olive Baptist Church and Trinity United Methodist Church to host a Mission Community Outreach Block Party. This is a ministry event that will offer presentations and give-a-ways.

Place: In front of Green Front Cafe and Trinity UMC at 112 Wilson Ave., Stockbridge, GA.

Time: 12 noon to 4 pm

**** Please bring school supply donations and place in the box marked "School Supplies" in the foyer and church office in the FLC. Also, we've been asked to donate water. If you would like to donate money for school supplies and water, please contact Linda Leftridge or Deborah Powell.

September 19th - Breakfast Compliments of Friends of Howard Evans: This Sunday morning's breakfast will be FREE in celebration of Howard Evans' retirement from MARTA. All are invited immediately following 8 am service.

December 3rd and 4th - Crown Ministries "Your Money Map" Workshop: This workshop is here at Red Oak FLC. Two-part session: Friday, December 3rd @ 6:30 pm - 9:45 pm and Saturday, December 4th @ 10 am - 1:15 pm.

Cost is $25 which includes shipping, workbook, snacks, and lunch. Contact Terrell Dinkins (404) 723-9780 with questions.

**Note: September 3rd and 4th workshop was cancelled and will be combined with the December 3rd and 4th class.

Nothing But Nets: Save a life by purchasing a net. To pledge $10 a month, sign up in the foyer or on the bulletin board in the Family Life Center (FLC). Go to www.nothingbutnets.net/malaria-kills or see Brad Miller.

The Georgia Fresh Start Program: This is an initiative that will provide a one-time crisis assistance payment for qualified families to pay past-due utilities and/or shelter expenses. A copy with website information and qualification is on the bulletin board in the FLC.

Users/Greeters Ministry: If you are interested in becoming part of the Ushers/Greeters Ministry, please see Jeri Cale or Paula Brumfield for information.

Harvard University Announcement - No Tuition and No Student Loans: Undergraduate students from low-income families will pay no tuition. More information at www.fao.fas.harvard.edu or call the school's financial aid office at (617) 495-1581.

Upcoming 144th Church Anniversary: Our goal is $20,000 and we're asking each member to give $200 between now and October 17th. Please mark "Church Anniversary" on your check and envelope.
