Reverend Ronald Grooms

Reverend Ronald Grooms was born and raised in Fayetteville, Georgia. He graduated with honors from McIntosh High School in 1985 where he excelled in basketball and track. He dedicated his life to the Lord at an early age and answered his call to preach at the ripe age of seventeen. He pastored Pleasant Grove Baptist Church in Sharpsburg, Georgia for 18 years. He was a dedicated employee at Newnan Utilities until he took ill in 2019.

2019 may have been life changing for Reverend Grooms, but today, in 2020, he has a lot to be thankful for this holiday season. After suffering a heart attack that led to multiple surgeries in the days to follow, today he can lift his voice in a song of praise and thanks! Although his prognosis was not good at the time, and doctors told his family that they did all they could do, it was evident that God was doing something in this season. After 3 months in the
hospital, he was finally released. Reverend Grooms says that he gives thanks to God for his grace and mercy. He is also thankful for his dedicated wife, Vickie, who is his primary caregiver. They have three children, Cassie, Jessica, and Ronald Jr., and without a doubt they all believe that this is his healing season and give God glory for all He has done and everything to come.
