But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, long suffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, Meekness, temperance: against such there is no law. 23 Meekness, temperance: against such there is no law.
Peace is defined as a quiet and calm state of mind. It is sort after by people of all ages. It is one of the fruit of the Holy Spirit as found in Galatians 5:22. Peace is spoken of in the Bible 428 times.
Peace was so important to Jesus that He often greeted His friends by saying. “Peace be with you.” All people need peace as they move through life. This movement is often seen as a journey or pilgrimage that produces conditions of fear and anxiety. Yet, people were not created to fear but to walk in the faith of God through Jesus Christ and the Holy Spirit. The most repeated advice throughout the old and new testament is “Do not be afraid”.
Therefore, whatever the circumstance of life, one should remember that God is with them, as stated in Zephaniah 3:17 and Isaiah 4:10. The blessing of peace, and the assurance that God is always present allows believers to walk confidently without fear.
