Rev. Dr. Jacqueline D. Rose-Tucker is a native of Washington, DC and has been a part of the Methodist Church all her life.  She is a graduate of the University of Maryland, receiving a Bachelor’s degree in psychology and sociology, and a Master of Divinity degree from the Interdenominational Theological Center (Gammon Theological Seminary) where she graduated with honors with a degree in Clinical Pastoral Care and Theology. She received her Doctor of Ministry degree from Columbia Theological Seminary, May 2007 in New Church Development and Church Revitalization.  Dr. Rose-Tucker was ordained a deacon in 1984 and an elder in 1986.  She has served in the following appointments: Pastor, Union Chapel UMC Marietta, GA; Assistant Pastor, Gordon Memorial UMC; Minister of Christian Education, Hermitage UMC, TN; Pastor, Calvary United Methodist Church and Senior Associate Pastor and as pastor of Mission, Education and Pastoral Care, Norcross First UMC; Senior Pastor, St. Paul UMC, Atlanta-Marietta District, District Superintendent, Rome Carrollton District, NGA Conference.

Dr. Rose-Tucker has served on numerous District and Conference Committees, some of which include North Georgia Conference Committee on Finance and Administration, Secretary, North Georgia Conference Committee on Insurance, Georgia Conference Board of Witness and Worship; Chair, Harry Denman Award Task Force; Chair, of the Task Force on Partners In Ministry; Supervising Pastor, SM II, Emory University's Candler School of Theology, Conference Nominations Committee; Connectional Table, Committee on New Black Church Development; Committee on New Multicultural Church Development, Trustee, United Methodist Children’s Home and the Murphy-Harpst Home Board of Directors, Conference Board of Pensions and Health Benefits and Cabinet representative to the NGA UMW.  She now serves as President of the North Georgia Black Clergywomen and the Griffin District Finance Committee.
At the General Church level, Dr. Rose-Tucker served as past Chair of the Ebony Superintendents, as past Vice Chair of the Black Clergywomen of the UMC. At the General Church level, she serves as Chair of the Personnel Committee on the Board of Directors of the Black Methodist For Church Renewal.  At the Jurisdictional level, she serves as Vice Chair of the SEJ Clergywomen of the UMC. Dr. Rose-Tucker also serves as the Gammon Theological Seminary Founders' Day Committee Chair and as a Gammon Trustee.  She continues to coordinate international Short-Term Missions teams, work with UMW groups and in areas of provide training in Spiritual Discipline and Leadership Development. She is also a member of the Order of the Flame, World Methodist Evangelism and has served as a 2001, 2006 and 2011 delegate to the World Evangelism Conference. She has completed three years of Extraordinary Leadership Seminar, as well.  Dr. Rose-Tucker has also served as reserve delegate 1992 SEJ Conference and a delegate to the 2008 SEJ Conference.
Dr. Rose-Tucker has completed eight years of service as District Superintendent of the Rome-Carrollton District in North Georgia Annual Conference.  She is the first African-American female to serve on the cabinet in the North Georgia Conference. 

Dr. Rose-Tucker is now privileged to serve as Lead Pastor at Red Oak UMC.  She is married to Joe Louis Tucker.  They have five adult children and five grandchildren.
